7 times your stated 14.3 is actually 100.1 not the 70 to 90 you were comparing too. A more accurate multiplier would be 5.5x. Anyone installing solar panels knows that they don't produce power at night and the rating is for full sun. Who is supposed to be surprised by these numbers? Who is using full sun rated power when calculating the cost of solar power. Power cost comparisons need to be made based on full lifecycle costs / lifetime power production. The cost of power is not just the cost of the installed capacity but the manufacture, installation, fuel, land, maintenance and ultimately disposal/demolition and environmental remediation.
