Actually any sort of ageist stereotyping is flawed.
At what age a person does their greatest work depends on too many things. Think female gymnasts, if they don't go on to coaching at a high level their greatest work might have been as a teenager.
I did my most award winning work in my late 30's and 40's. I temporarily retired in my early 50's. The work I have been doing since I went back to work, while not receiving as much recognition, is just as important and just as great. I am in my 60's now and my wife forbid me from going on the roof to put up a tarp to cover damage from hurricane Ida. Yes, falling is bad. I had a director in his late 60's who fell off a stepladder and had to spend weeks in a wheelchair.
