“and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible. With liberty and justice for all.” This is the nationalism that I was taught from childhood. We are indivisible in our support for our Constitution and the rule of law it provides within our borders. Borders matter. We decide by the execution of our Constitutional rights and obligation how we implement our rule of law. We stand as a nation united by our belief in our Constitution regardless of our diversity of race, culture, religion, gender. Our diversity protected by the Laws of the Land, the Constitution that hold sway inside our borders. We are a nation of states a state of states a republic from sea to shining sea, borders matter, inside these borders our laws matter and we make them matter. We stand up for our Constitution whether you are a strict constructionist or believe it is a living document you stand by the rulings of the Constitutionally selected powers. Why, not because it is always right but because without respect for the Law you have lawlessness and chaos. The Law even understands it is imperfect and allows for revision and appeal and even pardon and commutation.
Call me a Nationalist and I will feel no insult, you can even call me a Constitutional Nationalist just incase you don’t know what “shared culture, language, history” is the basis for my Nationalism. Read the document in study its language and history. That is the Nationalist Culture I espouse.
You know, any American who is not on board with that is really in the wrong place.
