Angola is also an infamous prison in the state in the U.S.A. that I live in.

I knew it is also a nation in Africa but not its history with Portugal.
There are certainly areas of the planet less explored than the Moon and plenty of big problems that need to be worked on.
That does not mean that Space Exploration should be stopped. I am biased for Space Exploration since it captured my interest before NASA landed men on the Moon. I have worked in my nation's space programs my whole adult working life and continue to do so at age 64 and hope to work as long as I can contribute.
Space Exploration has always paid back more than it costs. The spin offs and direct benefits of Space Flight are huge. It is not the landing on the Moon that is the real payoff it is the technology developments that make it possible that are the pay back. The pictures of and from the Moon are just icing on the cake. The weather satellites that track hurricanes and the other Earth observing satellites that monitor changes in the environment and track carbon and methane emissions are great examples. Velcro, WD40, and a whole host of other inventions were prompted by the space program. The space program also inspires many young people who need inspriation in the troubled world.

Sure, we don't need space exploration, but we are better off because of it.
