Are the oil companies responsible or is it consumers who created the demand? I mean, I don't mind socking it to the big oil companies, but the polluters are the people who drove the cars, who bought the products and wasted so much. The excuse, "they lied to us" doesn't cut it with me. People should have known better, really they knew better but did not care. Most of them are already dead or about to die.

Go ahead and tax the oil companies, it will be too little too late.
