As you demonstrate in your story this problem is self-reinforcing. The feed back makes the problem worse. Add to that almost everyone seems to treats people who are of a different race with greater fear and suspicion.

That begs the question, what about the data on other races, not white, black or Hispanic. How do you explain why the are killed at such lower rates than even whites.
