At my employer we all have laptops and offices. I have been to my office 5 times in the last 18 months. I get to work from home because NASA's rules for the facility say that if we can work from home we should, it was must for a while but has been relaxed. The company took a poll and the majority voted for full return to work but that is because almost half of the workers can't work from home. The sophisticated equipment we use for production is bolted to the factory floor. The people who have to work at the factory are jealous of those of us who can work from home and want management to make us come to work at the factory. I know I made arguments for returning to work but only for those who can't be fully productive working from home. We had people who worked from home before the pandemic. They did not even live in the state where the factory is located. We rarely ever see the President/CEO of the company.
