Blaming famine/geocide deaths on Capitalism or Communism is flawed, the fault belongs to Authoritarianism. Popes, Kings, Despots, etc.

Equating genocides from before the 20th century to genocides after the turn of the century and after WWII is a stretch.

I don't believe that 100 million deaths attributed to Stalin and Mao is a stretch. https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1994/07/17/how-many-died-new-evidence-suggests-far-higher-numbers-for-the-victims-of-mao-zedongs-era/01044df5-03dd-49f4-a453-a033c5287bce/

Sorry if that is behind a pay wall. Here are a couple quotes.

"While most scholars are reluctant to estimate a total number of "unnatural deaths" in China under Mao, evidence shows he was in some way responsible for at least 40 million deaths and perhaps 80 million or more."

"Stalin is believed responsible for between 30 million and 40 million "unnatural deaths," including millions from a famine he created."

I am not defending Peterson or Kleptocratic Capitalism, just the single claim you say has been debunked.

I think it is interesting that both Russia and China have abandoned Communism for Authoritarian or Oligarchic Capitalism.
