By what measure?

How do you measure success?

It is really simple, and you probably get it wrong.

The key is happiness.

Two measures:

Your happiness.

Happiness, you bring to others.

Both are not instantaneous measures but instead are cumulative.

Most of us will die either miserable or oblivious that is just the nature of growing old. What matters is how much of your life were you happy and able to enjoy that happiness. Really it does not matter how happy you were just the percentage of your days that you were happy.

A lot of people we consider successful are not very happy. They are driven and never satisfied. They also make others around them miserable. That brings us to the second measure of success.

How much happiness do you create for others? Do you make the world a happier place for others. God (the Creator) if God really cares at all would use this as the metric for any reward in the afterlife. The more happiness you created for others the greater your happiness in the great beyond.

You are greatly blessed if making other people happy makes you happy.
