Calling China evil does not help. China is acting in what it perceives is the best interests of its leadership. We need to act in the best interests of our people. Import controls on critical products are necessary to support domestic and diverse suppliers of critical products. We should be careful to ensure that domestic suppliers don't take advantage of import controls to sell poor quality overpriced domestically produced goods. This does not have to be perceived as a war or battle, just prudent policy. We should not be looking to hurt China but we must look after our own people.

You should advocate for good policy without hateful political rhetoric.
