Castro’s immigration plan would not be good for U.S. citizens. It is basically open borders with calls for actions to fix the governments in Central America.

It calls for accepting more refugees and just giving people a ticket or fine for illegally crossing the border. It calls for a path to citizenship for almost everyone who as already crossed the border. It call for more immigration for family reunification. It eliminates all the disincentives that should be keeping people from coming here illegally. It will encourage refugees to come here instead of some other country.

The U.S. already has too many people. Population growth is increasing our destruction of the environment and our infrastructure. Burdening the country with more people is not in the best interest of citizens of the U.S.
