Did you not have role models or mentors to teach you things that you don't learn in school? "Good money management isn’t taught at school so most of us have to work it out along the way." Is it this way, you think, among your cohort, whatever that may be?
The figure it out along the way is often call the "school of hard knocks." Not a recommended first choice. I was fortunate. My father was my financial mentor. He was a business manager and started his own small, very small business. Work and play, earn, save, invest, how, when and why to lend/borrow, spend, give back.
Everyone can easily find a mentor or role model now on the internet but there are so many traps. Many here have a cult like following.
