Do not fear the rentier, fear the monopolist rentier. Rentiers provide a necessary service, we can't all have and don't need our own cloud server farm, but we need the service. We depend on the government prevent monopolies and that is not possible then the government must regulate them to prevent abuse of customers. The IP excuse is long past useful for drugs to data to copyrights, nobody created anything without help from society, the IP belongs to us all.
