During the Atlantic slave trade era, Brazil received more African slaves than any other country. An estimated 4.9 million slaves from Africa were brought to Brazil during the period from 1501 to 1866.
The enslavement of African peoples took place in Canada in the same way it did in the United States, in the Caribbean and across Central and South America
Britain, France and Portugal introduced African Slaves to the New World. You should put the burden to Guilt on those countries. Less than 100 years after the U.S.A. became a country it outlawed slavery where it had been practiced by those loyal to England and France for more than 200 years. Still and all that does not excuse the U.S. for Jim Crow.
