Everything you hear about inflation is not bullshit. This story is just one example that might not be bullshit. Its clickbait title notwithstanding. The author also references other writers who's writing on inflation is not bullshit. My own writing on inflation is not bullshit. There is much written about inflation that is not bullshit.
I am not sure how this article could be considered great without it mentioning QE or the Fed balance sheet or the huge growth in the money supply.
The story is flawed where the author attributes all the growth in profits to price increases. Profits can be increased by greater productivity, greater volume, lower input costs or in other ways that have nothing to do with price increases. That does not mean that I am denying that companies have raised prices just because the can, reaping undeserved windfalls because I think some of them have.
This is a good story but is clearly slanted and goes for an emotional punch not a complete and clear, logical and accurate assessment. Maybe this story was bullshit too.
