For what it is worth, I worked in the engineering department for a American large aerospace company. A good percentage of the engineers were immigrants, Brits, Canadians, Columbians, Pakistanis, Indians, Vietnamese. One was a Sikh, I don't know what country he was from. We were draining the brains out of those countries. As long as someone is labeled with a different country they are not treated as equal. Nobody know my nationality except American. It is very hard to be black and be American, closest you can get is Afro-American. Indians can pass for white, if they reject their roots they could pass for American. Others can pass for white, until you are willing to pass for white you will be discriminated. Not by everyone but still discriminated.
