Get off, why do you consider hobbyists not serious?

Just because I don't seek an income for my work does not mean my work is not serious, of high quality or valuable. Just because I don't take a penny and give my work away does not mean this state of affairs is not a big deal. If Medium turns to shit, I will be sad.
