Gold is heavy? Your ignorance is showing.

At close to $2000 per ounce it is probably one of the lightest stores of value and it is dense so it does not take up much space.

Right now it is a little heavier than an equivalent stack of $100 bills but it takes up less space and is way more durable and fire resistant.

Quality diamonds might be a lot lighter but much less liquid.

What right now is a BitCoin killer is its volatility. Its value is unpredictable and subject to rapid changes.

I have bought and sold bitcoin and I have never lost money. Buy it and some time in the future the price will be higher. Nobody can tell you when and it will probably be lower before it is higher.

I don't hold any BitCoin, The stress of it movements bothers me.

One last thing. I we are subjected to a massive Electro Magnetic Pulse. Will there be any way to recover BitCoins. I know all my electronic bank records will be destroyed too but I do have paper records and my gold will still exist but do block chains have a rad hardened backup.

BitCoin is not useless but don't put all your eggs in one basket.
