Good story but maybe I missed the discussion of should social media be regulated in some manner like broadcast media or should it be unfettered.

Do we trust people to be skeptical and figure out the fact from fiction or do we need to protect them from the lies that will certainly be preached to them? Who can we trust to be honest censors?

I snooze posts from my friends who post too much that is biased political stuff on Facebook. I have stopped trying to rebut their stupidity and just ignore them. This is sad because I am less in touch with their daily lives, their political posts have made us less friends.

Facebook does bring some of us together if we don't post divisive material. Share joy and sorrow not politics.

Regarding "Similar projections of infinite growth in a finite world have rarely been questioned." This is being questioned more and more. The wise among us understand that growth is not the answer it is the problem. We need better not bigger.
