Only a Hobbit would not be immediately corrupted by the “One Ring of Power” and even they could not resist its power forever. Gandalf was wise enough to know that he could not use the ring but few are that wise. I am so glad I was not rich when I was young. I cannot imagine the evil I might have committed.

Natural appetites, otherwise known as “Original Sin” will haunt us all, if we lived in a Matriarchy instead of a Patriarchy it would not eliminate evil it would just change the nature of the crimes. We need to put limits on wealth and power and as much as I am a libertarian, too much freedom with too much power leads to too much evil.
