How to say this without seeming callus. In hard times it the disadvanged who suffer the most. Pain starts at the bottom and works its way up but rarely is much pain felt above the middle class.
If you are suffering so badly that we notice, it is unlikely that any aid we provide will make things alright.
I guess we should order more take out or delivery, something we rarely do. Not because we can’t afford it but we feel better eating what we make for ourselves. Commercial food vendors are a dodgy sort. I don’t feel comfortable eating their cooking. It is hard enough trusting the ingredients I buy, trusting someone else’s preparation, doubly hard. Catered food, especially buffets, it almost makes me sick thinking about it and that is without the threat of the virus. Poison can taste good. Free food is probably deadly. Good luck. Job security is underrated.
