I am 65 and I spend more than 8 hours a day on my devices, most days more than 12 hours a day. Sometimes I am using multiple devices at once. I did not grow up that way. I grew up often reading books and magazines for many hours a day. One weekend I spent all my waking hours reading Tom Clancy. I did not own a PC at the time, they were not that common. I don't see how this sentence is meaningful to your premise.
