I am an Engineer, U.S. educated so I know nothing about A levels. I never took a course in English Lit. Never was required. I consider myself a creative, I am a designer. Spent most of my career as a "propulsion systems design engineer." Writing, I have probably written more than most published authors. Mostly instructions and reports. I guess in a way I am a published author, I have author credit on a couple technical papers published by the AIAA.

I read way more than my peers. Mostly technical and history and Sci Fi and Fantasy. I think I had read every book Asimov and Tolkien had published before I finished high school, and I finish my second read of the Lord of the Rings my first semester in college. Math was my second language; Newton did not invent calculus he invented a language for it. I said I consider myself a creative, a designer. I like to think I created innovative solutions to problems and artful designs.

I am a strong believer in the power of vocabulary, picking the right words and structuring a proper sentence.
