I am not a credentialed economist but I have studied economics for 40 years. I have weathered 4 recessions without financial hardship. I anticipated the last two recessions and adjusted my investments to avoid steep losses and I am anticipating another recession and again have adjusted my portfolio accordingly. My Father was a Certified Public Accountant and a financial advisor, he started teaching me economics before I was out of High School. Just because me degree is in Engineering does not mean I focused solely on my work in the U.S. Space Programs. I find that credentialed Economists frequently disagree about what causes inflation. The Fed has struggled for more than a decade to increase inflation. About the only thing they did not try is giving more money to the poor, their charter does not allow them to do that.

Ben Bernanke and Janet Yellen both tried to get Congress to stimulate the economy through fiscal policy in ways they couldn’t with monetary policy.

You saying that I am wrong about the causes of inflation does not make it so. Whatever your Economist credentials are they do not make you right.

How do you feel about Adam Smith, Maynard Keynes, MMT?

I guess you are not a Keynesian.

Keynesian economists generally argue that as aggregate demand is volatile and unstable, a market economy often experiences inefficient macroeconomic outcomes in the form of economic recessions (when demand is low) and inflation (when demand is high),

I find von Mises interesting both of them. Richard von Mises’ work is important to stress analysis in the Space Programs.
