I am not too worried about prosecution of women who have abortions. I think for the most part prosecutorial discretion will protect most women. There may be a few show trials but they will be few and very much in the news.

I have written many times to pro-lifers, if you want to reduce abortions then work to reduce unwanted pregnancies, make benefits like maternity leave and child care more widely available. Increase women’s pay.

They really are not pro-life they want to punish or control desperate women.
