I am sure this was not on the FED’s mind.

The FED has been doing savers a favor. For less sophisticated investors, savers, higher interest rates are a boon. CD rates are very attractive right now and will stay that way for a while. I know that helping savers is not even on the FED radar. For the first time in a long time savers are actually making inflation adjusted profits.
