I am thinking that I would like "to hold an asset that’s free from seizure or debasement."

I don't feel like Bitcoin or any crypto is there yet. I am not sure any asset could be free from seizure. The powers that be can take anything that they know exists so to be free from seizure it must be totally dark. My understanding is Bitcoin is fully traceable. Totally public. Multiple records of every transaction permanent, forever.

Bitcoin seems to be debased every day. Can't buy or sell without fear that you made the wrong choice because it is so volatile.

Transaction fees are huge.

Almost nothing I buy can be purchased with Bitcoin.
