I bet you don't pay more in taxes than Jeff Bezos. I don't know what if anything he pays in income taxes, but it is pretty likely his property taxes are more than your total income. Too many people only think about federal income taxes when they think about taxes. That is a very narrow view. Beside property taxes there are sales taxes as well.
