I did not say it is a problem, just pointing out your statement is inaccurate.
If you make sure the poor and working class have enough money to satisfy their needs then they will do just that. Currently they come up short and thus the lack of money is a curb on consumption by the poor and working class. You give the poor and working class more money and they will consume for real resources.
I could actually make the case that UBI would make global warming worse. This is even more so in poorer countries but it applies world wide.
Most of the world has inadequate healthcare and healthcare infrastructure. A lot of developed countries rely on immigrants to fill the ranks of healthcare professionals.
You can't train just anyone to be a healthcare professional. Just like not everyone can be a rocket scientist. Do you know any country that has a surplus of native born medical doctors?
