I did skim parts of the article instead of reading them. Your writing did not hold my attention and seemed biased toward criticism of the government.

You claim the CPI has been manipulated. The CPI calculation was revised in full public view, not manipulated. The CPI was adjusted in a way that reduced cost of living adjustments (COLA's) for payments that had COLA's. Most everyone who was affected was aware of that at the time it happened. It was not some shadowy maneuver. Watchdogs publish many news articles.

CPI never was really reflective of individual/personal inflation.

My pension does not even have a COLA, inflation will make it almost worthless by the time I die.

My Social Security payments might still have a COLA when I decide to start collecting them. If I was collecting them today the COLA would be more than my personal inflation rate. I feel too privileged to demand the CPI be readjusted to increase the Social Security COLA. A lot of people who have an income source with a COLA tied to CPI are very privileged.

You called them liars, but you never provided evidence that they intended to deceive. The truth was always in the public eye. There was no coverup.
