I don't think Biden's fear of losing the 2024 election are near as dear as Putin's fear of a coup. I might prefer Biden to the alternatives but if he loses, he just retires to the bench with the other Ex-presidents (a wonderfully pampered life). Putin, overthrown by a coup, would suffer immensely if he is not killed.
