I don't think so. Many people, especially diabetics count calories or in the diabetics maybe they count carbs. My wife was a type 1 diabetic, and it would have been life threatening to lie to herself about what she ate. I made a spreadsheet for me, to count my calories, carbs, fiber, and fats for a lot longer than a week. I was not dieting; I just wanted some facts about my diet. Maybe because I am a scientist is why I would not lie to myself also I was not setting limits on what I could eat, I just wanted a record of what I was eating.
