I don't think you get the whole picture

I have been banned from forums for advocating wearing masks and debunking COVID conspiracy theories. I did not violate their TOS or even any rules. I was warned that if I reported another infraction by another member I would be totally banned. I have had my permissions revoked for any part of the forum that allows politics including sections that don't allow politics but often have politics that is not supposed to be allowed. I was banned from "deeply theological" because my beliefs are not Christian. Site owners are not limited by the TOS. I guess I could ask the ACLU for legal help but really only the big guys are likely to need to deal with legal actions.
