I don't think you should get a gun. People should not just go and buy a gun.

Gun owners should grow up in a gun positive environment. You should learn proper respect for guns while you are still a child. Guns should not seem like some sort of magic with magic bullets. Guns are a tool, like a chain saw or a mill. They are powerful, effective, awe inspiring and deadly, the chain saw and mill that is. The gun much the same. In the wrong hand any of them does more harm than good. I had eight years of firearms training before I became a gun owner. How much firearms training have you received? Without training you will instinctively do the wrong things.

Changing subjects:

"the more obvious explanation that you actually aren’t supreme or special or entitled to wealth and power."

I am not entitled to wealth and power but I have it. I am supreme and it is not right. I am special but not really of my own making. I am privilege. Not really born to privilege but promoted to privilege by the privileged, I was lucky. Lucky like someone not white, male, hetro, cis, smart, attractive and American can't be.

I don't worry about losing my privilege. It is kind of too late for that. I am 62 years old, a revolution to take my privilege just does not seem in the cards. The slow roll of time will reduce the privilege of people like me as it should or maybe not as fast as it should.
