I don't think you understand. "the Dems need to nuke the filibuster, consequences be damned. Sure the rethugs could take back the House and Senate and the rethugs would bring it back." No while they are in power they would not bring it back, not until they thought they might lose power. If they had control of the Senate they would pass laws with a party line vote just like you want the Dems to do. The filibuster is to protect us from Partisans, protect us from extremists, force compromise. It's not like the Dems never used the filibuster.
