I get that you are angry. I agree with you about things being wrong. I just can't get worked up over it any more. My outrage is spent.

You are right about manufactured consent. Well, not so much consent as total brainwashing. The elite get to run the show and call the shots because they have almost everyone brainwashed or apathetic.

Not being able to buy a house at age 26, no surprise, 35 years ago I was 26 and really couldn't buy a house. I had an agent try and sell me a house I could not afford with a negative amortization mortgage. I did not bite.

The elites have been trying to sell us the wrong things and succeeding for centuries. They also sell us on an ideology that keeps making them richer and the rest of us not so much. (Elites = Oligarchs, Monopolists, Plutocrats, Politicians.) Now some of our own cohort are doing the same thing, influencer equals propagandist. Selling consent.

This is sort of right, "Either we adapt, moving away from capitalism and the age of neoliberalism, or we die." We much adapt, but I think we must adapt capitalism to a post neoliberalism age. We must restrain, reform, and punish the Monopolistic Neo-Liberal/Conservative Plutocratic Oligarchic Elites. Capitalism can work for the benefit of all of us but first we must take off our blinders and end our consent to the Elite's abuse of capitalism.
