I hate that this is so often made into a Democrat vs. Republican thing. There were and maybe still are some maybe many Republicans who find Trump and his ideas repugnant. I know that I am one. I am sure Mitt Romney is another.

Hate the sin not the sinner. Find a way, like the ones you suggested, to stop the sins.

Focus on policy and just know there will someday be a time after Trump. Someday Putin will go away too. Franco is gone. Castro is gone. Mao is gone. Pinochet is gone. Even if Trump could find a way to stay in power past 2028 he is an old man, he would not be healthy much longer.
