I have a problem with:

"it’s important that student debt be forgiven entirely"

What about people who will borrow this fall or next spring or next year. Will we give unlimited amounts of money to people in the form of student loans.

Do I get my student loan payments back? I paid off my student loan.

What make people who have student loan debt right now special? I wonder how many have stopped making payments because they think the loans will be forgiven. I wonder how many people are borrowing more than they need because they think the loans will be forgiven.

Just talking about this is creating a moral hazard.
