I think proficiency would be a better choice of word than literacy.

I do think the tools and conducting of classes will improve quickly.

I worry about who will supervise the younger students for online learning. Parents have for years counted on schools to mind their children while to go to work. Parents working from home have to split their attention between children and works and that hurts productivity.

It is very hard to conduct some extracurricular activities remotely.
