I think there is a perception that Jews are rich and have outsized influence.

1.7% of the worlds millionaires are Jewish but Jews are only 0.2% of the worlds population and Jews have received 22% of the Nobel prizes.

Jews might deserve all they get but that does not eliminate jealousy.

They make a wonderful scape goat.
