I think this problem goes deeper than race. If we are going to use data to understand this problem you have to stop making it all about race and break the data down by more categories. I think it is telling to look at where the highly public killings have occurred and where we have these protests.

Where are the cops more racist and where are the blacks and Hispanics more scary. Where does the population demand more Law and Order not more community policing.
