I think you are overlooking some history when you claim.

I understand that your making an representation to Christians who feel persecuted but it is flawed because Christianity was at its most privileged and powerful after the European dark ages. The Church actually was superior to Nations in Europe. Kings bowed to the Pope and Cardinals. Consider the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition. Due to those excesses and others the Church split and had to reform. There needs to be a second Reformation to cast out those who claim to be Christian but don't model Jesus's Gospel.
I don't call myself Christian, to many do who have brought shame to the term.
Also, Jesus's is not the only book to bring wisdom to culture and society.
