I think you don't intend you remarks to be as absolute as you have written them. No, all vaccines do not wear off after 8 months. Their efficacy begins to wane around that time but the vaccines still provide some protection. You may be hesitant to go to work in a space in which there are people who were not vaccinated but I don't think there will be many places where you can be sure that everyone is vaccinated (religious and medical exceptions are made even if vaccines are mandated). What if almost everyone is vaccinated but many people did not get boosters?

There will be a spike after Thanksgiving but it might not peak until after New Years. Welcome to the endemic, just like flu, we will see continued sickness but do you imagine it will be as bad as it has been before or will the disease just kind of become part of life? Like I said, this is not like Polio, this is not something that can be eradicated and there will be no herd immunity.

We will need to figure out how we will live with this disease and I don't think mandatory boosters every 6 months is the answer.
