I think you should stick to the text book definition of:

capitalist

[ˈkapədləst]

NOUN

a wealthy person who uses money to invest in trade and industry for profit in accordance with the principles of capitalism.

"the creation of the factory system by nineteenth-century capitalists"

synonyms:

financier · investor · industrialist · magnate · tycoon · mogul · nabob · plutocrat

It is not that much different than yours but I have a problem with yours because of "without ever doing any actual work." You see in the text book definition there is not differentiation for how active the person is in the business. You see a capitalist is a wealthy person who has money invested in a business or businesses. They might also work for that business.

People bash Capitalists but who they really should be bashing is Monopolists, Robber Barons, Plutocrats, Corporate Raiders, Greenmailers, Hedge Fund Managers and Oligarchs. They use unfair practices to build and maintain their Capitalist fortunes.

Elon Musk and Stephen Jobs were/are better Capitalists, they used their money to create things without resorting to unethical business practices. Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos might have started out clean but quickly resorted to Monopolistic and Oligarchic practices to boost their profits and stifle innovation.

You say I am not a Capitalist but I insist that I am and certainly will be when I stop working and live off my investments. I am wealthy enough to stop working today. I work because the work has strong meaning for me.

Capitalism is not evil, extractive and predatory business practices are the evil that you attribute to Capitalism.

You say I work as hard as my workers. My wife would disagree. I do almost all my work sitting at my computer in my home office or an office in the factory. I start work at 8 am. The factory workers start at or before 6:30 am. They get off work before 4 pm. I usually work until 6:30 pm but sometimes work later in the evening or even late at night. My work is not hard for me but is sometimes stressful. My wife and workers think I am lazy. Often it looks like I am doing nothing.
