I understand needing a good hospital. I live within a couple miles of both of the bigger hospitals in my town (small city, across the lake from New Orleans), Slidell. When things were really bad before my first wife died, she had to be transported to a Hospital in New Orleans. Mostly her needs were cared for in the local hospitals and doctors.

I can certainly agree, we should not have to cut our spending so the upper class can have so much. Actually cutting our spending deprives the upper class of our money, what we keep they don't get. Money does trickle down but it floods up. The poor and middle class keep very little of the capital they earn or receive. I never really understood why some of the rich oppose cash assistance to the poor. All the money ends up in the pockets of the rich.

I think nothing disturbs a rich man more than a happy poor woman. If the working poor made a living wage and had proper healthcare the middle class and upper middle class would wonder why they live the way they do. Fear of falling into precarity is a big driver workaholics. Next is eminence front. If you can't display wealth how will you be respected.

I never meant to indicate your story was flawed, well anymore than the works of any of us humans anyway. I don't think I am perfect :-)
