I was exploring the line between personal and private property since you differentiated them. I have things my father made 65 years ago and things others made longer ago than that. There are things of lasting value. I will not still be miserable since I am not currently miserable. I am 63 years old and not chasing material rewards, have not been for years. I retired but went back to work not because I need the money but because I needed the social interactions and the sense of value I got from helping advance our nations space programs.

Not "nobody deserves to be rewarded in a failed system" but everyone needs to be rewarded regardless of the system.
