I will condemn any sort of racist violence. I don't discriminate due to race, religion, sex or national origin. I am not really progressive.
I think I would like to explain something you, maybe were not hiding but not revealing either.
"point out that they’re making Jewish Americans’ right to safety conditional on foreign events. Point out that they would never say the same thing about Chinese Americans and China. Remind them we’re Americans, and that choosing between us and the Palestinians is a false choice."
Most Chinese American's don't support the Chinese government. Some of them are Uyghurs or are democratic activists from Hong Kong and oppose the Chinese government. Attacking random Asian Americans for the actions of the Chinese government is supremely ignorant. It is more than likely that a Asian American opposes the actions of the Chinese government.
I don't feel the same kind of opposition to the actions of the Israeli government from Israeli Americans. Israeli and Jewish American support for Israel is legend, notably AIPAC. Saudi American men seem to be almost all supportive of the Saudi government's actions in Yemen. Your comparisons have not the similarity you imply.
I oppose violence against the innocent, that includes violence against American Jews or Jews anywhere. I don't see bigoted attacks against racial or religious or ethnic groups in the U.S. as being that frequent as to rise to the level of needing activist support with the singular exception of police violence against Black Americans which is systemic.
The attacks against Jews and Asians are mostly singular and individual and uncommon not systemic. I think that we can leave dealing with those hate crimes to law enforcement.
Regarding the Arab, Israeli, Palestinian, Jewish, Islam conflict, I deplore the violence and ignorance of all sides in that conflict. I only support the peace makers.
