If a woman shoots and kills her attacker and there are no witnesses or there are corroborating witnesses. If she reports it immediately and confesses to the killing and claims self-defense I can't see any prosecutor charging her or if charged any jury convicting unless it is a shot in the back or she has some other obvious motive. Dead men tell no tales. Men get away with assault and rape because they can claim it was consensual setting up a he said she said situation. You don't shoot someone if you are consenting. Women have many times killed their attackers and not been punished.

The justice system is biased in favor to the accused so as to avoid convicting the innocent at the expense of victims rights. Better to be tried by 12 than to be carried by 6.

I understand that killing your attacker can be traumatic even to the point of PTSD but is that worse than the PTSD from the assault or rape.
