If you worked for 40 years you will collect a big enough SS check each month to live on. You just have to move to a place where the cost of living is low. No boomer born before 1956 should be homeless today if they worked for 40 years. The younger boomers who can't collect their SS yet or who have chosen to collect early (getting a smaller check), well they might be in a pickle if they can't work. What will happen when they cut social security. If you support cutting social security (or support not backstopping social security) you are voting to put more boomers in the homeless catagory.
