Is it possible for the stock market to crash without causing a recession?

Just because stocks crash does not mean that the economy must go into a recession, right?

I mean, most people don’t own a lot of stock and if the market crashes they don’t change their spending. We see market corrections all the time without a resulting recession. What if the market crashes only a little does the economy have to tank too? The market is not the economy and the economy is not the market.
